Oliver RCMP continue to investigate a serious assault that landed a 43-year-old man in hospital on June 17.
Major crime units from other jurisdictions are getting involved in a serious assault that occurred in Oliver on June 17.
On that day a 43-year-old man was brought to South Okanagan General Hospital for treatment after he was assaulted.
“The injuries were substantial, requiring the patient be transferred to another hospital for treatment,” said Sgt. Blaine Gervais from the Oliver RCMP.
Gervais said the investigation is ongoing with multiple witnesses being interviewed. “Warrants have been executed for evidence in relation to the investigation.”
The RCMP remain tight-lipped on the condition of the victim, but the investigation has expanded to other police jurisdictions.
