A motorist suffered non life-threatening injuries after crashing into a vineyard south of Oliver on Sunday.
The Oliver Fire Department reported that a vehicle left Highway 97 and drove into a vineyard at Road 12.
“The driver was able to self extricate; no major injuries,” said spokesman Rob Graham, who noted the driver was treated by firefighters on scene until ambulance paramedics arrived.
Graham said the cause of the crash is unknown.
Oliver RCMP reported the female driver came very close to a power pole and was able to walk away with minor injuries.
The 1996 Ford Explorer she was driving was severely damaged. Police say alcohol was not suspected as the cause.
