Once again, Oliver RCMP are urging residents to ensure their vehicles are locked and valuables are not left inside after prowlers were out and about last weekend.

Police report that prowlers were seen on Willow Street overnight on Saturday. One male and one female associated to a black Honda Civic were observed going through vehicles in the new construction area.  A photo shows a female dressed in heels and black cocktail dress, with the suspect vehicle parked down the street.

Overnight on Friday, RCMP received a report of a vehicle in front of a residence on Road 11. A female was observed running from a neighbour’s yard.  The suspect vehicle fled north on Highway 97 and was not located. The neighbour’s vehicle was found open and despite the keys having been left inside, only a blanket was missing.

“Please lock up your vehicles and do not leave valuables inside” said Oliver RCMP Sgt. Don Wrigglesworth. “An open vehicle is an easy target. If it is locked up then the thief moves on.”
