This photo, likely taken in the 1960s, shows the Christmas trees that used to line Osoyoos’ Main Street during the holiday season. Last year Town Council planted a tree at Gyro Park to commemorate a former local tradition where one of the trees would be transplanted to the park and be decorated by local residents. The tradition continued into the mid 1990s until traffic lights were installed at the foot of Main Street. Council planted the tree in 2017 as part of Canada’s 150th birthday celebrations.
