The Oliver food bank received a donation of 120 boxes of Shreddies cereal courtesy of Post Foods. The donation, which was received by food bank volunteers on February 7, was made by the company in recognition of Oliver resident George Karpinsky. Karpinsky is one of five nominees in Shreddies “Search for Goodness,” a nationwide campaign that encourages people to nominate someone in their community who goes above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of others. The votes are currently being tallied and the winner will be announced on March 3. To read more about George and the Search for Goodness click here.
