The Town of Osoyoos has announced their new chief administrative officer, Allan Chabot.
The former mayor of Invermere takes over the role July 29. Chabot takes over for Barry Romanko, who announced his retirement in March after over a decade on the job.

Born and raised in Invermere, Chabot served as mayor in Invermere from 1988 to 1990. He has worked as a chief administrative officer in Fernie, Merrit and most recently Revelstoke, where he had served as CAO since 2015.
Chabot resigned from his position with the City of Revelstoke on June 11. He was on paid leave along with a City of Revelstoke engineer since May 17, according to The Revelstoke Mountaineer.
