The Town of Oliver has a new Corporate Officer.

On Monday, council appointed Rochelle Lougheed as the new officer following the retirement of Diane Vaykovich.

Lougheed previously assisted Vaykovich as the Deputy Corporate Officer.

Loughheed’s new duties include ensuring accurate minutes of council, ensuring access to records, administering oaths, certifying copies of bylaws and other documents, and accepting notices on behalf of council.

On Monday, council also appointed Brieanne Mader as Deputy Corporate Officer.

Recruitment is now underway to fill the clerk receptionist position at Town Hall.

Council members recently attended a retirement luncheon for Vaykovich to thank her for her years of dedicated service to the town.
