Dear Editor:
This is to Chris Boxall regarding his letter in the Osoyoos Times on July 4, 2012. You stated this was your first letter and I hope it is your last.
We all criticize politicians when we disagree with their actions and opinions. They expect this and they welcome suggestions from the public that could make improvements.
However, I feel your letter was tarnished with nasty innuendos and poisonous remarks.
If you’re writing a letter to the editor about something you disagree with, stick to that subject. Your personal unkindly insults have distracted from your purpose.
With regards to you mentioning the lake fatality last year, you blame the mayor’s “so- called rules of the road.”
What a cruel thing to write.
I understand the accident happened at night and speed was involved. It was just going to happen.
I feel that you owe the mayor and council an apology for involving them unnecessarily.
Your comments may have had a negative effect on the victim’s family.
Shame on you.
