Dear Editor:
I was born and raised in Osoyoos and love this little town. I moved away in 1990, however, do read the Osoyoos Times online to keep up with the local happenings.
I recently returned to visit family, picked up the July 4 edition of your paper, which was so much more enjoyable to read than the online version.
I was very disappointed reading Chris Boxall’s letter to the editor on Page 7.
Firstly, that someone would write such insulting remarks about the mayor, and secondly, that you even printed it.
There are risks we all take everyday, whether it be driving on the highway, flying in planes, crossing a sidewalk or boating. Accidents happen.
For Mr. Boxall to mention the accident and mayor in the same sentence and request it be published in your paper was rude and uncalled for.
Osoyoos Lake is so beautiful and I am pleased to see tourism glow and businesses welcomed.
Keep up the good work Mr. Mayor and council.
