Gone fishing.
That’s what Dave Janzen can finally say after 32 years of working for the Town of Oliver.
The Public Works foreman has put away his safety boots and brought out his fishing rod for retirement. In fact, his retirement gift from friends and co-workers is a salmon fishing trip that he can’t wait to experience.
Janzen has seen a lot of technological changes in his time and more than his fair share of natural disasters while working for the Town. Check out next week’s feature in the Oliver Chronicle and read all about the ladders this guy has climbed.
