Forestry crews continue to mop up a wildfire west of Osoyoos that started Wednesday afternoon off Old Richter Pass Road near Spotted Lake.

Forestry crews hit the fire fast and hard with air tanker support and managed to stop the blaze from spreading to nearby homes. The fire grew to more than 10 hectares in size. The Osoyoos Fire Department assisted by helping prevent the spread.

There was no report of structural damage or injuries.
