Spencer McKay’s Nothin’ but Net basketball camp in Oliver wrapped up today at Southern Okanagan Secondary School.
The kids loved the camp this year and learned a lot about fundamentals and teamwork, thanks to coaches Graeme McCallum and Jessica Franz, with assistant Austin Basso from the SOSS Hornets. Franz brings Austrian National Team experience to Oliver, and was a great asset this week.
The kids gobbled up pizza on their last day and competed in numerous contests. One thing for sure, you don’t want to bet against Harjun Sidhu in a shooting competition. In fact, Sidhu was crowned champ of the 2-up, free-throw and lay-up contests.
