It’s so dry out there that a spark from a weed-eater reportedly started a grass fire behind a house in the 300 block of Road 2 on Sunday afternoon. The fire spread quickly, but the majority was extinguished by the time firefighters arrived. It is believed that a spark from a rock was the cause. People are urged to be cautious when cutting grass with machinery in these dry conditions. Have a water source nearby just in case. Photo by Lyonel Doherty
