Ronald Teneycke has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from crimes in Oliver last summer.
There was no doubt in many people’s minds, but prolific offender Ronald Teneycke confirmed it today with a guilty plea to charges stemming from horrific crimes in Oliver last summer.
The Okanagan Falls man entered guilty pleas to four charges, including a robbery at Eastside Grocery and the shooting of Wayne Belleville from Oliver.
Teneycke was the subject of a manhunt last summer after robbing the grocery store at gunpoint in July and discharging a firearm at Belleville on McKinney Road. Belleville had stopped to pick up the fugitive and was subsequently shot in the back. He is still recovering from the ordeal.
Teneycke was later apprehended during a police chase in a Cawston orchard.
The Crown is applying to have Teneycke designated as a dangerous offender. He is now awaiting sentencing.
