After reading your article headlined New bylaw enforcement policy approved by Town in the April 8 edition, I feel I have to write and clarify some statements made.
You were correct in stating that we did park our tractor in our driveway unaware of the bylaw. Once we attended a council meeting and received word that the bylaw would remain we have no longer parked it there.
Your article appears to suggest that we have been involved in vandalism or character assassination of this man but you need to know that we have never spoken to this man or even walked by his house for years.
We do, however, know that he seems to have a problem with nearly everyone on this street and tries his best to be a thorn in the side of his immediate neighbours when they are outside with either a hammer, duck call or pellet gun.
In the summer he rides his bike in inappropriate attire and has scared some of the children living on the block.
We are pleased to see the “Good Neighbour Bylaw,” however some people will just never be good neighbours.
It’s interesting how the complainant’s name wasn’t mentioned but ours was and without any hesitation believed what he had to say.
Our concern is not with him but with the way the article was written and it would have been nice if you had contacted us and gotten the complete story.
