The Town of Osoyoos has now received official blessing from the Ministry of Transportation and Transit to permit “Neighbourhood Zero Emission Vehicles” on the town’s byroads after it amended and approved local bylaws earlier this year.
The South Okanagan is now able to support more electric vehicles on the road, with the Regional District of the Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) completing 90 per cent of its planned charging stations.
Oliver has approved overarching plans to reduce the town’s energy and emissions, and will now create a work plan to be more green.
