The Sun Bowl Skating Club attended their second competition of the season on the weekend of Nov. 23-24 returning home with a host of awards and personal bests.
The 2024 Okanagan Interclub was hosted by the Kamloops Skating Club and achieved “plenty of ‘firsts’ and great successes,” according to Patricia Fortunato, Head Coach of the club.
A total of 11 skaters competed in 17 events with the contingent collectively racking up one Gold, five Silvers, seven Bronzes, and two personal bests.
Fortunato notes this was particularly impressive given the club had three first-time competitors, four first-time soloists, seven solo debuts, and 10 first-time events. “A great feat! Our coaches and the entire club could not be proud of each of our skaters,” she said.
