The 4th Annual South Okanagan Secondary School (SOSS) “Rising Stars Spring Showcase” is back at Venables Theatre on Thursday, May 7, in what organizers say is looking to be the “biggest, boldest show yet”.

Packed with impressive performance from rising young artists ready to shine, this high-energy event is all about celebrating the incredible talent coming out of SOSS.

“This show just keeps getting better every year,” says organizer and SOSS teacher Graeme Baerg. “The level of talent these students bring is unreal. People are going to be blown away.”

The experience starts before guests even take their seats. The theatre foyer will be transformed into a gallery featuring stunning student art and photography, giving a full evening of creativity from the moment guests walk in.

“These students have put in so much work, and this is their moment,” Baerg adds. “There’s something really special about seeing a community come together to support young people doing what they love.”

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the show kicking off at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for youth and children and can be purchased at venablestheatre.ca/risingstars .
