A theft incident at the B.C. Liquor Store last week led Osoyoos RCMP to a larger haul of stolen goods.
After investigating a theft from the store involving a 36-year-old Penticton woman, officers apprehended a 34-year-old man waiting for her outside.
The man was found to be in possession of a pick-up truck that had been stolen in Kelowna. Several items inside the vehicle were found to have been stolen from Osoyoos Home Hardware and Osoyoos Home Building Centre.
The male has been released and charges for possession of the stolen truck are pending, Osoyoos RCMP said Tuesday. Further charges are being considered for other items found in the truck.
The woman, Jennifer Santos of Penticton, has been charged with theft under $5,000 and is remanded in custody. She was scheduled to appear in court in Penticton on Wednesday, July 9.
