The SOS Medical Foundation is inviting the community to learn more about their current fundraising campaign for local hospitals.

Representatives will be set up at Valley First in the Oliver Place Mall at 5955 Main Street on Thursday, November 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to share the details of the plans and to collect donations.

This includes the earlier announcement of a $2 million fundraising campaign targeting three initiatives for the South Okanagan General Hospital (SOGH), including new equipment and the realization of the innovative initiative to build housing for doctors in Oliver.

This includes $875,000 for a new ultrasound, $825,000 for a new digital x-ray machine and $300,000 for new medical staff housing.

“Tomorrow is also Giving Tuesday and all donations are graciously being matched in the month of November so if you have been thinking about donating, this week is a great time to do so!” the SOS Medical Foundation urged.
