The School Board of School District 53 is asking that parents of children who are turning five years old this year register for kindergarten by March 16.
“This will provide the school and district with information to plan for staffing and budgets to schools,” Chairperson Rob Zandee said in his board report.
As of February 20, kindergarten registration for Oliver Elementary School was at 37 students, and 22 for Tuc-el-Nuit Elementary School.
Parents can register their children at their local school, and must bring the child’s birth certificate and medical card with them.
