The towns of  Oliver and Osoyoos will have to pay a little more in taxes to the regional district this year.

Oliver will pay approximately $73,000 more, which represents a 4.70 per cent increase (from $1.557 million in 2021 to $1.630 in 2022).

According to preliminary figures, the average taxes per residential property in Oliver will go up by approximately $44.

Electoral Area C will pay about 4.5 per cent more for a total of $2.350 million this year, up from $2.248 million last year.

Preliminary budget figures show the average taxes per residential property in Area C will increase by approximately $129.

The Town of Osoyoos will pay nearly five per cent more for a total of $947,814, compared to $902,985 last year.

Early figures show that the average taxes per residential property will increase by $11 (from $162.44 to $173.76).

Area A (rural Osoyoos) will pay 12.31 per cent more for a total of $1.419 million this year, compared to $1.264 in 2021.

The average taxes per residential property will go up by approximately $125 (from $669.65 to $794.78).
