More than a dozen local sheriffs, paramedics, RCMP and firefighters braved freezing cold water today to raise approximately $1,200 for Special Olympics.
The original plan was to jump into Tucelnuit Lake in Oliver, but instead they chose to jump into a bladder full of less cold water at the Fire Hall. Can’t blame them.
One firefighter and two ambulance paramedics were the last men standing (or sitting) in a contest to see who could brave the cold the longest.
Stay tuned for the full story in the Times Chronicle.
