Karl Fichter, a volunteer member of the Osoyoos Fire Department, was in Vancouver recently and presented a cheque for $5,000 on behalf of the Osoyoos Fire Department to staff at the Burn Unit at Vancouver General Hospital. The Osoyoos Fire Department supports many good causes with money raised from its annual Oyster Feed event and has supported Vancouver General Hospital’s Burn Unit with a generous donation each of the past several years.
