The Osoyoos Coyotes announced a new but familiar face taking on the role of head coach for the club.

Coyote alumnus Carter Rigby, who moved up to the WHL in 2011 to play for the Kelowna Rockets until 2015, is taking on the role.

The announcement was made via Facebook on Dec. 19.

“Osoyoos Coyotes organization is pleased to announce that Head Coach position will be filled by alumnus Carter Rigby, who played as a Yote in our inaugural year (26GP/22G/21A/65PIM), before moving up to Kelowna Rockets (WHL 2011 – 2015). Rigby also played for Swift Current Broncos (WHL), Stockton Thunder (ECHL), University of PEI, and Bentley Generals (Chinook HL). We look forward to having Carter share his personal knowledge of the game with the boys. Welcome to The Den, Carter!!” the post states.
