A wildfire with visible smoke in the Green Lake Road area in Okanagan Falls in Electoral Area “D” was reported on Wednesday, June 4 at 2:45 p.m. The fire is described as being 200 metres east of Green Lake Road.

As at 5:30 p.m. the fire is now considered “Being Held” according to the BC Wildfire Service. The fire is suspected to be human caused and was 0.7 hectares (1.7 acres) in size.

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen Emergency Operations Centre (RDOS EOC) said at the time it was aware of the wildfire and its Emergency Operations Centre had been activated to a Level One event for monitoring.

The Okanagan Falls Fire Department responded to the wildfire.
