An osprey was spotted recently watching the world from the top of a pole near the Desert Sunrise Marina in Osoyoos.
It had a fish, but apparently wasn’t hungry. Mary Ford, who tipped us off, said it had been perched there for hours.
We watched from a distance with a long lens so as not to disturb the bird from its contemplations. It never turned its head in our direction.
