The shuffle of school administrators continues with the announcement Monday that a new vice principal has been appointed at Osoyoos Elementary School (OSE).

Jason McAllister, who has taught previously in School District 53, most recently worked at technology coordinator in School District 58, Nicola-Similkameen.

McAllister replaces Shendah Benoit, who was named in July as the new principal at Tuc El Nuit Elementary School in Oliver.

Benoit replaced former Tuc El Nuit principal Dave Foster, who is moving to OSE to serve as principal. Foster’s appointment was announced July 3.

The shuffle came about after Bo Macfarlane announced he was leaving his post as principal at OSE to become principal at Boundary Central Secondary School in Midway, which is outside of SD 53, Okanagan-Similkameen.

McAllister holds a Master of Education Technology degree from the University of British Columbia.
