If you like quilts and want to learn more about this beautiful art form, don’t miss the “Trunk Show” hosted by Double O Quilters next Monday.
Publicity chair Dianne Birnie said the group has invited guest quilter Vivian Kapusta to show her quilts and give a talk on the subject.
Kapusta, a quilting artist from Maple Ridge, will share her insights and expertise on April 20 at Christ the King Catholic Church on Spartan Street at 7 p.m.
Birnie said quilters of all levels will truly appreciate the show and find inspiration there.
She noted that one of Kapusta’s quilts is a real sight to behold, depicting bald eagles on a river.
“It looks like a painting; it’s outstanding with a lot of detail.”
Birnie said the “trunk” refers to quilting shows of yesteryear when people had so many quilts they had to put them in trunks.
