Dear Editor:
Parking in Osoyoos is at a premium. Often RVs park at Buy Low where they have space to turn around. Workers and visitors from Mariposa use the parking area, as there is not sufficient parking at the facility.
Parking is also needed by Interior Savings Credit Union, The Dollar Store etc.
We already have many fast food outlets all within a short distance of each other. It would also mean more waste material and another dumpster.
Recently three people were picking through the dumpster at the 7-Eleven, then came into Buy-Low to shop.
I may have negative views of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Oliver had an outlet many years ago. After eating the chicken I spent two days in Oliver Hospital with a gall bladder attack.
As a senior I appreciate the parking at Buy-Low. It would be a shame to see it jeopardized.

Bonnie brings up a good point about insufficient parking at Mariposa but we can’t expect the owners of the Buy low mall property to accomodate Mariposa residents/staff & visitors. The town dropped the ball years ago by not insisting on adequate parking when the Mariposa project was approved….. As far as allowing a KFC and GCO quick change oil facility into the mall space I say WELCOME! These are not only desireable businesses for providing year round employment to Osoyoos but KFC will also provide a bit of variety to our existing fast food menu’s. And getting a quick oil change without an appointment will save a lot of people time and money.
eating KFC one time does not cause a gall bladder attack…. it is a lifetime of unhealthy eating.
