The Osoyoos Indian Band is gearing up once again for election time.
On February 19, band members will go to the polls to elect a chief and five councillors.
Not surprisingly, Chief Clarence Louie is seeking re-election. His only challenger is Ernest Baptiste, who could not be reached for comment.
Seeking re-election on council are incumbents Tony Baptiste, Theresa Gabriel, Ronny McGinnis, Yvonne Weinert and Sandra Falkus.
New challengers are Jeddy Baptiste, Leona Baptiste, Neil (Justin) Baptiste, Russel Baptiste, Derek Bryson, Kathy Falkus, Thomas Lee Gabriel, Jacob (Joseph) Kruger, Ramona Bent, Sammy J. Louie, and Joshua (Ross) McGinnis.
