The Oliver Fire Department responded to a report of black smoke coming from a property off Highway 97 and Enterprise Way early this morning.
Spokesman Rob Graham said a tree was on fire adjacent to a power source supplying power to some outdoor equipment.
“It is not clear but this outdoor stuff may have been shorted out and caused a fire.”
Crews were on scene for about 45 minutes.
RCMP was also dispatched to the property as a precaution.
