The Osoyoos Elks Lodge have been a huge supporter of the Osoyoos Junior Curling Bonspiel for many, many years, but with the bonspiel being cancelled this year, the Elks have found another way to contribute.
The Osoyoos International Curling Club was thrilled to accept their generous donation of $1,000, which has been allocated towards the purchase of 23 brand new sliders and 34 grippers that will be used to enhance our junior program.
The grippers ordered are in various sizes ranging from extra small to extra large and with the new design of the Step On Sliders, it will make a perfect fit.
Safety remains our top priority for our junior curlers and now each young curler will have the opportunity to wear a gripper on each shoe resulting in far less slippage on the ice.
The Osoyoos Curling Club sincerely thanks the Osoyoos Elks for their continued generosity and continued support of the junior curling program in Osoyoos.
