chloeEvery little dancer deserves a chance to perform on the “big stage.”

It is with that in mind that Cindy Gosling and her daughter Avery decided to spearhead a fundraiser for three-year-old Chloe Kroeger, the Oliver born toddler who was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer last spring.

The Chronicle recently learned that Chloe’s cancer is too aggressive and chemo is no longer helping. Her parents, Gina and Jon have decided to let Chloe be a 4 year-old and spend time with people she loves and things she loves to do.

“I do not know Chloe or her family,” Gosling wrote in a letter to the Chronicle.

“But being in a small town I know all about struggles. My daughter has been dancing since she was three, and seeing Chloe all smiles in her  costume reminded me of her early days in dance and the excitement of being on stage. We just wanted to make that dream come true for her.”

To bring the young girl’s dream to fruition, Gosling enlisted the help of Eve Noonan, owner of Even Dance, where Avery and Chloe take lessons, to organize a recital called “All About a Girl.”

“Every little dancer deserves the opportunity to be able to dance on the big stage,” said Gosling. “All About a Girl will give Chloe that chance.”

The fundraiser is set for May 24 at 4 pm and will take place at the  Frank Venables Theatre.

Tickets are $20 and are available at Medici’s Gelateria in Oliver, the Dollar $ Dollar Superstore in Penticton, Even Dance in Penticton or by calling 778-476-7678 or [email protected]
