Dear Editor:

Letters to Santa Claus from children from Oliver and Osoyoos should be mailed at the Canada Post office where Santa has set up a special mailbox in the lobby in both towns.

Do not put them in the mail slot in the community mailbox where you pick up your mail or they will be sent to Vancouver for processing, thus delaying the answer of your child’s letter.

Letters to Santa can be sent in English or French and postage is not required.

Mothers and fathers are asked to please check to see that there is a full return address and name on all Letters to Santa.

Teachers with classes that send Letters to Santa and wish to have them sent to their home, please ensure that all names and return addresses are on the letter and printed so that Santa can answer them with proper names.

Please hand them over the counter at your Canada Post office before Dec. 9. This will allow Santa to answer all of them before classes are out for the Christmas break.

Those mailing Letters to Santa directly, please mail them before Dec. 16 so that Santa can answer the letters before Christmas day comes around.

Santa’s address in English is Santa Claus, North Pole, Canada, H0H 0H0. In French, the mailing address is Pere Noel, Pole Norde, Canada, H0H 0H0.
