The Oliver Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs would like to thank the community members, community partners and all other supporters from Oliver and Osoyoos who came out to join us for our 5th annual community spaghetti dinner at the Oliver Curling Club on April 16.
We had over 100 people come through and thanks to your generosity we raised over $600 in donations, which will go directly towards our drop-in youth programs in our communities.
Special thanks to Super-Valu in Oliver and Buy-Low in Osoyoos for donating the food for the evening. And to the Oliver Kiwanis Club for their cheque presentation of $500 for our youth programs.
Thanks also to the Oliver Chronicle for coming out once again to cover this event, and to Marji and Val from Eastlink who did a piece for our local cable channel. And of course, a big thank you to the Oliver Curling Club for providing us with this fabulous venue.
All in all, it was a fantastic event, and we look forward to continuing this tradition.
