In September I had a lot of fun with my brothers and whole family at a nice motel on the lake in Osoyoos.
Osoyoos is one of my favorite places because of the drive down the mountain to the lake offers such a beautiful view. I also like all of the places downtown to shop and eat at and Rattlesnake Canyon.
We met there for a family reunion holiday. It was also to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries.
This we did at a really nice restaurant on the lake. The view was beautiful and the food was really good. It filled me up.
My grandparents and aunt and uncle joined us there too. We had a big long table set for us. The service was great and the view of the lake pretty.
The motel we stayed at was on the beach. The staff were very friendly and the motel was kept very clean and fresh. We rented three large rooms to share and eat meals together. Each of us kids had to provide for and cook a supper in teams.
We had spaghetti, tortillas, and great burgers done on the motel barbecue. The breakfast room had a good assortment of cereals, breads, pastries, fruits, boiled eggs and yogurts. You could make pancakes if you wanted.
My brother got to dock his boat right there on a bouy so we could just walk out to it. They had paddleboards and kayaks to rent which was a lot of fun for all of us as well.
Kayaking was lots of fun, but when my brother was adjusting the foot pegs for me he dumped me. That was a surprise.
The beach was not too busy so there were a lot of chairs to lounge on. My brother took most of us on the boat for waterskiing and wakeboarding. Even my Dad tried waterskiing. The weather was nice and sunny, but not too hot and the water was still warm. At night we went watersliding. The motel had a short slide, but it was fast and fun. We got to soak people who were sitting on the bench watching.
The cleaning lady found a lot of my brother’s money when we were leaving and was so honest to bring it to us. He was really happy.
We went on the Osoyoos Go Carts at Rattlesnake Canyon to race against each other. My younger brother crashed all of us.
It was lots of fun with all my brothers and sisters racing me. We went golfing at the driving range at Osoyoos Golf Club.
On my third ball I nailed a tree, but we still had a whole bucket of balls to try. That was a lot of fun too.
My sister in laws spent time shopping downtown and drinking coffee. We also walked over to see my grandparents and some of us went to the Osoyoos Desert Centre. I would recommend having a family holiday in Osoyoos to anyone. It is a really a nice place.
