Dear Editor:

Letters to Santa Claus from children in Osoyoos and Oliver should be mailed to the Canada Post office where Santa has set up a special mailbox in the lobby in both towns.

Don’t put them in the mail slot in the community mailbox where you pick up for mail because that means they will be sent to Vancouver for processing, thus delaying the answer of your child’s letter.

Letters to Santa can be sent in English or French.

Postage is not required when sending a letter to Santa.

We ask that Mom and Dad please check to see that there is a full return address and name on the Letters to Santa.

Teachers with classes that send letters to Santa are asked to please ensure that all names and return addresses are on the letters and printed to that Santa can answer them with proper names. We also ask that they be delivered over the counter at the local post office before December 16.

Those mailing directly to Santa are asked to please mail them before December 18 so that Santa will have the time to answer them before Christmas day.

Santa’s address is Santa Claus, North Pole, Canada H0H 0H0 (English) and Pere Noel, Pole Norde, Canada, H0H 0H0.

Thank you.
