There were several demonstrations of extreme motorcycle stunts with riders leaping high into the air and landing safely at Cactus Jalopies. At one point, organizer J.F. Launier poured water onto the track and a truck spun its tires to kick up clouds of smoke for the motorcyclists to jump through. Saturday was the main day, but there was also a wine tour on Friday and drag racing Sunday. (Richard McGuire photo)

Henry Ford may be spinning in his grave. The founder of Ford Motor Company is claimed to have said: “You can have a Model T in any colour as long as it’s black.” Graham Bennett, of Keremeos, however likes his 1926 Model T to be bright red to match his shirt. He got the car 15 years ago and after restoring it, he’s had it on the road for eight years. Bennett was just one of many people showing off beautiful classic cars at Cactus Jalopies on Saturday.
