ANOTHER LOCAL REALTOR REPRIMANDED BY REAL ESTATE COUNCIL

The Real Estate Council of British Columbia has reprimanded another Osoyoos realtor for professional misconduct.
Last month, the council ordered Kenneth Davreux, managing broker of Osoyoos’s Strata Pro Property Management Services, to pay a $1,500 discipline penalty and $1,000 in enforcement expenses to the council.
The council is B.C.’s licensing and regulatory body for realtors.

PACK HANDED FIRST REGULATION LOSS

You win some, you lose some – and for the first time, the Osoyoos Coyotes have lost a game in regulation time.
The team won 4-1 against the Princeton Posse on Oct. 19 and won at home against the Kamloops Storm on Oct. 22.
But it was a memorable day for the team on Oct. 23 when they lost 3-0 to the Revelstoke Grizzlies.

OSOYOOS AREA DAM REQUIRED URGENT ATTENTION: REPORT; PROVINCE HAS FORWARDED RECOMMENDED CHARGES AGAINST TESTALINDEN RESERVOIR LICENCE HOLDER TO CROWN

A dam in the Osoyoos area was one of four dams found as needing immediate attention after provincial crews assessed hundreds of dams across B.C. in the wake of the Testalinden mudslide in June.
On Oct. 14, the B.C. Environment Ministry released its response to recommendations included in a report prepared in July by B.C.’s deputy solicitor general on the failure of the Testalinden Dam on June 13.

REALTOR SUSPENDED FOR ACTIONS OF FORMER EMPLOYEE

“I called them (the Real Estate Council of B.C.) because there was an indication there were fraudulent maneuvers by one of my employees,” said Carol Youngberg, the managing broker of Osoyoos’s Desert Aire Realty Inc.
The council recently suspended Youngberg’s realtor licence, ordered her to take a remedial education course and pay enforcement expenses in the amount of $1,000.
