Members of Osoyoos Town Council endured the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge at the hands of members of the Osoyoos Lake Paddling Club dragon boat team last Wednesday. From left are councillors C.J. Rhodes, Mike Plante, Sue McKortoff and Mayor Stu Wells. Councillor Michael Ryan was away on another engagement. Mayor Wells issued a new challenge to the town administration.
Members of the Osoyoos Soroptimist Club underwent a soaking in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on Saturday. They in turn challenged other Soroptimist clubs around the world. The challenge is a fundraiser for ALS, widely known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
