Local firefighters were busy after an intense thunderstorm passed through Osoyoos on Tuesday night.
Anarchist Mountain firefighters had a “busy night” extinguishing lightning-caused blazes, the department stated online.
“Crews responded very quickly to several new fires as a result of tonight’s lightning storm,” the department said. “All known fires have been extinguished and crews returned to hall.”
The department also battled several spot fires started by lightning on Monday afternoon.
