Honour House is a “home away from home” for members of the Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans, Emergency Services Personnel and their families to stay, completely free of charge, while they are receiving medical care and treatment in the metro Vancouver Area.
They are currently on their Tour of Honour across British Columbia and the Yukon to fundraise and raise awareness. On April 3 and 4 they made stops at the Osoyoos Legion and the Oliver Fire Department.

According to Rob Graham, Public Relations for the Oliver Fire Department, “they are much like Ronald McDonald house for kids and families, they are geared towards first responders, like maybe they are going through something in the hospital and a family needs a place to stay, if you need one of those facilities you can be housed at and spend some time in there.”
Graham praised them as a “great organization especially for first responders, there are not a lot of organizations out there that do that sort of thing.”
