An amended Remembrance Day ceremony in Oliver didn’t lessen the tribute paid to the fallen.
The event at the town cenotaph looked very similar to past years but without the march and public wreath laying.
Many dignitaries and members of the public attended the ceremony that took place under a steel grey sky that reflected the sombre mood of everyone there.
At the close, many people came forward to place their poppies on the town cenotaph.
