A home on Willowbrook Road was damaged by fire Wednesday night but everyone made it out safety, according to the Oliver Fire Department.
Spokesman Rob Graham said crews responded to a structure fire at approximately 11 p.m. with flames coming from the roof.
“Once crews arrived on scene they were able to quickly knock down visible flame and work to gain control of the fire,” Graham said, adding they had the flames at bay within 20 minutes.
Graham noted the fire was contained to the south portion of the home, and mainly to the attic.
“Quick action by crews saved the structure and limited fire damage to the south end,” he pointed out, but explained there was heavy fire damage to trusses, compromising some of the roof. Other areas sustained smoke and water damage.
“No injuries to report and everyone made it out of the home safely.”
No cause has been determined yet.
The Willowbrook Volunteer Fire Department was called in to assist with mop-up. Fire Chief Tony Iannella commented that the Oliver Fire Department “did an excellent job attacking and stopping the fire.”
