Nostalgia Wines was jammed packed on the weekend with hordes of people showing up for the 7th Annual Show, Shine ‘n’ Wine featuring classic cars, music, dance, wine tasting, fire dancing and of course fundraising.

The June 12 event raised over $4,000 for Nostalgia’s charitable partners. The money will be shared equally by Wide Arts National Association and the Tour de Cure for BC Cancer Foundation. A local rider, Russell Comerford of the Osoyoos Credit Union (OCU), will be doing the ride this summer.

“The event had an amazing turnout of both classic cars and attendees. We had so much fun on a bright sunshine-y day!” said Sheila Whittaker, General Manager of Nostalgia Wines.

The event featured over 60 classic vehicles (street rods, custom classics, muscle cars, trucks and more), live music by rockabilly band The Dixie Fried Hep Kats, sponsored by the OCU, a pin up costume competition, sponsored by Primal Electric, dance performances by Dance Oasis Studios in Osoyoos, a fire dance performance by Wina Poliquin of Wide Arts National Association and Wina’s Closet in Osoyoos, a live event painting by Endrené Shepherd, wine tasting and outdoor bar by Nostalgia Wines, craft beer by North Basin of Osoyoos, and food truck ‘I luv my BFF.’

Entry was by donation to Wide Arts National Association and the Tour de Cure.

A fundraising silent auction featured prizes from local businesses: JF Kustoms, Boyd Autobody and Glass, Kartplex, Area 27, Oliver Eats, Venables Theatre, painter Kyla Waterfield, Coast Oliver Hotel, South Okanagan eBike Safaris, Art Therapy Corp, and Curator Designs.
