More than four dozen vendors will squeeze themselves into the Oliver Community Hall on Saturday, March 28 for the 33rd WOW Trade Show which celebrates community and the renewal of spring.
The annual event is organized by the Women of Oliver for Women Society (WOW) and this year over 55 vendors will be showcasing their wares.
“We have lots of returning vendors, as well as many new ones to experience,” says WOW’s Terry Beddome. She noted that locals enjoy this spring “coming-out” event each year, “a time to reconnect with friends and suppliers of the coveted products they have learned to rely on. That’s the fun of a live show!”
The WOW organizers highlight the convenience of buying online, but “isn’t it exciting when spring comes around and we can meet live, and share a vitalizing day with our family and friends?”
The WOW Trade Show offers a great opportunity for vendors and customers to connect and share information, WOW adds. “As an exhibitor, the WOW Trade Show is the best opportunity to meet in person, answer questions and reach a broader audience.
“And as a customer, a few hours at the Trade Show offers a social atmosphere with a wide variety of local products and services to choose from in one venue – a win/win for everyone!”
The Falls Furniture & Cabinet Co. (a division of Flex Industries from Okanagan Falls) is, for the fourth year in a row, donating a major prize for a raffle held during the show.
The Women of Oliver for Women Society is a group of like-minded women, meeting once a month with a pledge: “To enrich the lives of women and children in our community and beyond.”
The WOW Trade Show is on Saturday, March 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Oliver Community Hall, 6359 Park Dr. Admission is by donation – with all monies collected going to Desert Sun Counselling and the South Okanagan General Hospital fundraising campaign – a raffle for a custom piece of furniture will be raffled, colourful spring primroses will also be for sale and refreshments are available from Oliver Eats.
