This year’s winner of The Art Gallery Osoyoos’ (TAGO) annual Poster Contest is “Aurora Chief” by photographer Greg Reely.
The annual poster contest began in 2022 with the aim of both highlighting the substantial artistic talent in the community as well as raise money for the non-profit gallery.
The winning entry each year is made into a limited edition poster which are then signed by the artist and in previous years sold for $30 each.

This year’s second place winner was Keith Prestone with his mixed media painting titled “Osoyoos Watershed” while Barbara Freese took third place for her watercolour painting titled “Osoyoos, The Crossing”.This year we saw 21 entries submitted with the top three chosen by judges Mayor Sue McKortoff, Kelly Glazer, Executive Director of Destination Osoyoos and Sherani Theophilus, Publisher of the Times Chronicle.

The gallery extended a “sincere thank you to all our participating artists for their wonderfully artistic and creative entries.”The public is invited to visit the gallery to view the 21 submissions and vote for their personal favourite in the People’s Choice Award from Jan. 9 until Feb. 1.

The gallery will hold a Poster Signing Event on Saturday, Jan. 18 from 1 – 3 p.m. with many of the participating artists on hand.The gallery, located at 8713 Main Street, Osoyoos is open Tues. to Sat. 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
