One of the South Okanagan’s favourite weekend festivals is nearly here with Oliver’s Wine Capital Weekend set to unfold in just over a week.
From September 19 to 21, the weekend promises to deliver a fun-filled experience with world-class wines, craft beers, ciders, spirits, delectable food, and exciting entertainment.
The event starts with the 4th Annual Kick-Off Party at District Wine Village, on Friday, Sept. 19, 8–11 p.m. An evening of music, food (gourmet dishes by Ward’s Country Kitchen), and wine and beer tastings all topped by a live performance by iconic Canadian band Glass Tiger.

Festival of the Grape also offers options to upgrade to a VIP experience (only 300 VIP passes available) to enjoy complimentary limited release/library collection tastings, intimate wine education sessions, a limited edition commemorative Riedel wine glass, complimentary food, dedicated shaded lounge area, and early access through VIP gates at 11 a.m.
Aside from the alcohol tastings the Saturday and Sunday of the festival will feature a merchant marketplace, interactive Kids Zone, Food Truck Village, on-site liquor store and the annual art extravaganza: “Oliver Creates: A Collaborative Art Show & Sale” at the curling rink.
