Tables for the Better at Home Craft Fair have again sold out this year, but visitors to the event this year will again see a wide range of local crafts.

There are 18 tables featuring such items as homemade chocolate, baking, woodworking, knitting, sewing, canning and handmade jewelry.

“We’ve tried to keep everything local or homemade,” said Stacy Little, program manager with Osoyoos Better at Home.

The craft fair is being held on Saturday, Nov. 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Osoyoos Seniors Centre.

Little said there will also be three different kinds of homemade soup and buns available until 2 p.m.

An appearance by Santa Claus is also anticipated.

Many of the exhibitors are returning after successful shows in previous years, Little said.

The event will also include door prizes. The Better at Home Cookbook, produced last year, will also be on sale as a small number of them are still available.

The event is a fundraiser for Better at Home, which assists seniors in remaining independent and living in their own homes.

Little said volunteer Bonnie Rhys, who has organized it in the past, pulled the event together.
